Chicago High School to Implement Race-Based Grading System
by Penny Starr
5/31/2022

A high school in a Chicago is implementing a race-based grading system “to adjust classroom grading scales to account for skin color or ethnicity of its students.”

The move is necessary, advocates say, because “traditional grading practices perpetuate inequities,” a slide used in a presentation said.

Students, depending on their race, will not be held accountable for missing class, misbehaving in school, or for failing to turn in assignments.
...
Fiorenza called for the changed after releasing a report that showed a spike in “F” grades in the 2020-21 school year.

“OPRF’s administration will adopt language that makes and keeps the system visible and continues to name racism as a complex interconnected structure,” the report said. “We must recognize the unique challenges faced during the pandemic intensify the need for a systemic approach to confronting the racial and socioeconomic discrepancies often experienced by our underrepresented student population.”

Illinois School Will Require Teachers to Grade Based on Race
By Kira Davis | May 31, 2022 12:30 PM ET

A school in Illinois is instructing teachers to adjust their grading practices according to race.

Oak Park and River Forest High School (OPRF) school board members approved a plan to “equalize” testing scores among different racial groups. Many people would imagine that “equalizing” test scores across racial groups means offering extra tutoring services, mentoring, and learning tools to minority students.

Not at OPRF.

Quote
School board members discussed the plan called “Transformative Education Professional Development & Grading” at a meeting on May 26, presented by Assistant Superintendent for Student Learning Laurie Fiorenza.

In an effort to equalize test scores among racial groups, OPRF will order its teachers to exclude from their grading assessments variables it says disproportionally hurt the grades of black students. They can no longer be docked for missing class, misbehaving in school or failing to turn in their assignments, according to the plan.

The ten-page proposal outlines bullet points for grading by race, with seemingly no sense of shame or irony at all.

Dumbing down standards is easier than improving students' academic performance. And those who "benefit" from the lower standards are the ones most hurt, in the long term.
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

So, bald-faced invidious discrimination based on race.  Hopefully, the lawsuits will be filed shortly.

The Chicago School System needs to be placed into Illinois state receivership.

If the teachers and administrators are not up to the task of educating Chicago's children, they should no longer be paid.

That is simply out-and-out racism, pure and simple.

Ironically, those who benefit most by getting better grades due to their race, will, in the long run, be harmed the most, especially if they actually deserved good grades, because the prevailing line of thought will be that no credentials earned are actually deserved.

These people will become unemployable in the larger job market.
