Democrats pledge to press gun control to forefront of 2022 midterm elections
Two horrific mass shootings are thrusting the issue of stricter gun laws back into the national conversation

The killing of nineteen children and two teachers during a horrific mass shooting in a Uvalde, Texas, elementary school and the murder of 10 members of the Black community in Buffalo, New York, nearly two weeks ago has thrust gun control into the national spotlight once again.

If Democrats have their way, the issue will be front and center on the campaign trail as well.

In the three days since the latest mass shooting, President Biden and numerous Democrats in Congress have again pushed for passage of stricter gun measures Republicans have repeatedly blocked.

And Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) press secretary Chris Taylor charged in a statement to Fox News that "extremist MAGA Republicans have fully cowered to the gun lobby to cling to power. And our children, seniors and communities are being slaughtered as a consequence.

We had a severe school slaughter way back when sherman, when school children were slaughtered at a colombine school in colorado.  The police stood around and waited for the butchers to finish their deeds bfore entering the school to pretend to 'save' the children.  Promises were made then that such error in police judgment would not happen again. Now inTexas we have a very similiar instance of children being sluaghtered, and people kept from coming to the aid of the children while the police refused to do their job and rescue the children AGAIN. To cover the malfeasance and incompetence-cowardice of the police, we are now being told we need to quit discussing what happened and just accept what happened and move on.  That is exactly why incidences like this will continue to happen again.  Police shirking to do their duties except write tickets and annoy law abiding citizens need to be shown the bums rush out the door, no excuses, rationalizations, find a job that doesn't involve policing, which you have shown you already refuse to do, when it counts most.  When criminals are quite willing to use their guns and the police will not use theirs, when desperately needed, they are worthless eunuchs.

I don't think the voters they are counting on, Hispanics, are going to be too keen on having their ability to protect their families taken away, nor are the Blacks. If the ignorant leading this newest charge to disarm are so clueless as to how many Blacks and Hispanics own guns and have been buying guns they deserve everything they are about to get...especially after once again law enforcement pounding home the fact that they can't be depended on to protect the children.

Why is it that the Democrat Communist Party couldn't care less about the Constitution and the Bill of Rights? Any and all gun control is unconstitutional. Guns are not the problem to begin with. Gun are inanimate objects incapable of doing anything on their own. Once again DCP disciples show that they have no idea what the problem is. They have other motives than to fix the problem. There is a Revolution coming and the outcome won't be in favor of the Democrat Communist Party.

Mostly because for most of our history all the police departments were ran by powerful white Dim Chiefs,and most gun permits for non-whites were denied.

Granted,there has been MAJOR changes in PD leadership over the last decade or so,but I seriously doubt the typical black on south of the border immigrant were rushing to turn in their guns at any of the gun buy back programs of the last decade or so.

Old lessons learned the hard way tend to be hard to change.

And,of course,in states and cities that never did require purchase permits,those people ain't about to give up their guns.

There is nothing there I disagree with.

They are, typically, offering a solution for something that is not the problem, so they can feeel good about fixing it (at an emotional level for their stooges), and with the ulterior motive of securing totalitarian rule, despite proving time and again they have no business in power.

I do get your point,but in 21st Century America,there are so many things listed as crimes,that there is practically no one that has never committed one of them.

Technically,even a parking violation is a crime. Don't pay your ticket,and find out.

It all depends on who is doing the defining,and if they have an agenda.
