Sadly,I have to agree with that. All they did was get in the way of the people trying to save the children.

I HAVE to believe they did this because they were ORDERED to do this. This sort of thing CAN'T just happen by accident. That would be impossible.

Well, unfortunately I am old ... and seasoned with crazy insane experiences across the very Earth itself.
I know failure. I know regret. Every morning these guys wake up they will hear that gunfire.
They will know another child died.
They will see the blood and the bodies every day.
They may have saved their own lives, but at what cost? How will they live with that?
A coward dies a thousand times ... in his mind. I wish them all long life and good health. May they live forever.

UVALDE, Texas – Shocking testimony from the Texas DPS director on Tuesday has revealed even more insight into the “abject failure” of response to the Uvalde shooting that occurred on May 24.

Texas Department of Public Safety Director Col. Steven McCraw revealed that the husband of slain elementary teacher Eva Mireles tried to save her but was barred from doing so.

Ruben Ruiz is a police officer for the school district and was on the scene after the gunman entered the school and opened fire.

McCraw said Mireles called Ruiz and told him that “she had been shot and was dying.”

“And what happened to him, is he tried to move forward into the hallway,” McCraw said. “He was detained and they took his gun away from him and escorted him off the scene.”

McCraw didn’t say who specifically detained Ruiz.

UVALDE, Texas – Shocking testimony from the Texas DPS director on Tuesday has revealed even more insight into the “abject failure” of response to the Uvalde shooting that occurred on May 24.

A Texas DPS official accused Pete Arredondo of placing 'the lives of officers before the lives of children' during the Uvalde school shooting

    Pete Arredondo, the incident commander at Robb Elementary School when 19 children and two adults were killed last month, has been placed on administrative leave, Uvalde Independent School District Superintendent Hal Harrell announced Wednesday.

"From the beginning of this horrible event, I shared that the district would wait until the investigation was complete before making personnel decisions," Harrell explained. "Today, I am still without details of the investigations being conducted by various agencies. Because of the lack of clarity that remains and the unknown timing of when I will receive the results of the investigations, I have made the decision to place Chief Arredondo on administrative leave effective on this date."

Arredondo has been sharply criticized by everyone from Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steven McCraw to parents in the Uvalde community for his response to last month's shooting.

In my district, they are actual members of the County Sheriffs department, and go through the exact same training as regular officers, plus they have additional training because they are also working with kids in middle and elementary schools.
Lets not be in a rush to condemn all officers because of the actions of some people in the Uvalde and Broward county.
Denigrate the ones that deserve it, but lets not tar everyone with the same brush.
