Off-duty CBP agent saves students, daughter after 'help' text from text from teacher wife

An off-duty US Customs and Border Patrol agent saved dozens of children trapped inside Robb Elementary Tuesday after his wife, a fourth-grade teacher at the school, texted him that there was an active shooter, according to a report."

Help," she wrote, "I love you." Jacob Albarado was getting a haircut at the time. He borrowed a shotgun from his barber, who came with him, and headed to where his wife and his second-grade daughter were hiding in the school.

His daughter, 8, was locked in a bathroom and his wife was underneath a desk with her students in their classroom.

While a CBP elite tactical team was planning to take out the shooter, Albarado coordinated with other officers to get as many children out as possible. He started in the area where his wife had said their daughter was hiding, rescuing other children and teachers along the way.

This is the guy who got a text from his wife asking for help while he was getting a haircut, stood up, borrowed the owner's rifle, organized a posse and stormed the school ---- rescuing, among others, his wife and daughter.

Would he have been though? What is the law on minors and juvenile records, aren't they sealed unless charged as an adult? If that's the case then there is one more thing that needs to be looked at changing so that at least they can't legally buy a gun when they are older.

Then that is something that needs to be changed.  If a minor makes threats, then that should be red-flagged, and should continue on their adult record until and unless they can convince a court to expunge the red-flag.

Just my personal opinion about the cops not going in:  If I were one of those cops, I would have gone in, the risk of death notwithstanding, because those were children in there, and my life as an adult is not worth more than the lives of those children.  Simple as that.

Angeli Gomez (above)  jumped the school fence and ran inside the school where she rescued her children herself

She did this after she had been handcuffed by LE.

Gov Greg Abbott said on Wednesday that he couldn't confirm whether the shooter had a juvenile record
    He legally purchased the two AR-15s he used in the attack last week after his 18th birthday

It wouldn't matter if he did.  Typically, juvenile records are expunged when a person turns 18.

The murderer “cut up his face with knives for fun,” drove around shooting random people with his bb gun, tried to fight people in the park. Cops visited routinely. He harassed the women he worked with. People said his aggressiveness kept escalating.

Texas DPS says the shooter fired over 100 rounds in the classroom and was inside the class & firing for two minutes  straight before a team of local police officers made entry to the school and were fired upon by the shooter, then they pulled back & covered the door. @FoxNews

Just the knowledge hat misbehaving as a juvy might cost rights as an adult might slow down some of the brewing behaviour patterns that lead to this sort of stuff.
