Texas' Operation Lone Star Gets First Guilty Verdict on Trespass

By Eric Mack    |   Wednesday, 11 May 2022 12:02 PM

The first guilty verdict of an illegal migrant netted under Texas GOP Gov. Greg Abbott's Operation Lone Star border program was delivered this week.

Lester Hidalgo Aguilar of Honduras — with a criminal history in the U.S. — was found guilty of criminal trespass on a local ranch and sentenced to one year, the maximum penalty, The Epoch Times reported Tuesday.

Aguilar was spared the $4,000 fine by the judge, but he was put on the hook for $290 in court costs, according to the report.

Poor illegal immigrant.  He probably thought all immigration laws had been suspended.

Good.  The law should be amended to allow for greater sentences.

If the state of Texas is gonna put all the "trespassers" into jail, they'd better take over the King Ranch by virtue of eminent domain.

They're gonna need a space that big.

Well, Abbott did empty a prison in south Tx for incarceration of the trespassers.
