I reckon the new "normal" will be $7-8 (maybe more) by summer, due to peak driving/demand.
Diesel? $10 easily. IF you can still get it.
For some time in this forum, I've been advocating that the USA "close" its petroleum markets, insofar as exporting is concerned.
No export of crude (I doubt there's any now?).
No export of refined petroleum products.
Drill here, extract here, refine here, SELL here.

I predict at sometime in the near future we'll see a bill in Congress to this effect.
Just as we should CLOSE our borders TO immigration, it's time to also close them for petroleum exports. We need that stuff here.
