On the heels of President Joe Biden’s announcement last month signaling the end of the Trump administration’s restrictive Title 42 policy, which grants government authorities permission to dismiss the claims of migrant populations seeking asylum in the U.S. due to COVID-19, many migrants are still left without a safe way to travel.

This has led to an uptick in the amount of teen drivers who are helping migrants cross the U.S. border: One in four drivers taking migrants across the U.S.-Mexico border is believed to be a teen, according to a recent Reuters report.
