Kimberly Guilfoyle meets with Jan. 6 committee

Kimberly Guilfoyle, the fiancee of Donald Trump Jr., met with the Jan. 6 select committee investigating the riot at the Capitol.
Guilfoyle, who was with Donald Trump on the morning of the attack and spoke at his rally on the Ellipse where the former president encouraged protesters to march to the Capitol, arrived around 10 a.m. Monday to meet with panel members throughout the day. The committee sought to question Guilfoyle, arguing she could hold critical information about her communications with Donald Trump before the riot.
Guilfoyle was subpoenaed last month by the congressional task force after her initial meeting in February went awry, abruptly ending when she took issue with lawmakers on the panel attending her voluntary interview, which is common practice.
Although members of the Trump clan, such as Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, have opted to meet with the committee virtually, Guilfoyle chose to meet with the panel in person in Washington.
The committee had previously obtained phone records that are linked to Guilfoyle and Eric Trump, another son of the former president, containing logs that show the time and length of incoming and outgoing communications as well as text messages, CNN reported in January. However, they did not show the content of the messages.
