Judge Napolitano calls imprisonment of Jan. 6 protesters an ‘American gulag’: ‘None of them should be in jail’
April 15, 2022 | Terresa Monroe-Hamilton

Andrew Napolitano gave an explosive interview Thursday on “The Joe Hoft Show” at the Real Talk radio network and bluntly asserted that the Jan. 6 protesters should not be in jail, that they should all be out on bail, and called their imprisonment an “American gulag.”

“None of them should be in jail. They should all be out on bail. Most jails are garbage, particularly inner-city jails. There’s no political support for spending a nickel in there. Politicians don’t care because the public doesn’t care. So it shouldn’t be a surprise,” Napolitano candidly noted.

“But what’s surprising is that they have been attacked violently and that they’ve been subjected to a disgusting environment for more than a few hours and that they’re in jail, to begin with,” he stated.

“I mean none of these people is a threat to society and all of them would gladly come back at the time of trial and most of them shouldn’t be charged anyway because most of them were there to engage in 1st Amendment protected behavior,” Napolitano charged.
