I saw a TV commerical from some renewable energy interest group that attempted to change the definition of energy independence for America - from "drill, baby drill!" to more "American-made wind mills and solar panels".
They are manipulating language to manipulate thought.
1.) I can't heat my house in Winter with solar panels and windmills.
2.) I'm willing to bet that most of the components used in the renewable energy space are not made in America, even if the windmills and solar arrays are assembled in America.
3.) Solar panels and windmills can't power the jet I'll be boarding for my next vacation.
