Progressives find new culprit in high gas prices and Schumer, fearing AOC primary, dutifully falls in line

House Democrats are unjustly pegging the oil industry as scapegoats for President Joe Biden’s failing policies and Senate Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) appeared to follow their cues as questions of a primary challenge from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) remain unclear.

As the price of oil recovers from its spike after the initial market disruptions caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, now hovering closer to $100/barrel, the price of gasoline is experiencing a much slower decline from the record highs it had reached. According to Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), chair of the House Progressive Caucus, this is because of profiteering by Big Oil.

“We go after corporate America because corporate America is often profiteering,” Jayapal told Fox News.

Biden echoed those sentiments with a graph that depicted the rise in oil and gas prices since the beginning of February attempting to use it as proof that gas prices were not expected to go down because of greed from the oil executives.

What I find interesting is the headline; Schumer fearing AOC.  I believe she's going to run in '24.

Schumer would beat her.  Her candidates that she endorses are so bad that they tend to lose in many parts of the country

Her endorsed candidates in the Buffalo mayoral race lost to a write in. It was because of her and people like her that prevent the Democrats from having a blue wave election in 2020

Some of these people are pushing the idea of a windfall profit tax on oil companies but that’s unlikely going to happen.

Democrats have a thin majority in the House and a 50-50 split the Senate.

So American oil execs are benefiting from biden shortages caused by shutting down oil leases and drilling, causing the massive fuel hikes.   Imagine how much radical muslim and Russia is doing with its massive oil exporting to the world, esp gouging Western nations.  American oil is evil and pollutes, yet some how muslim and russian oil does not.  Time for some brain activity, eh?

 Pretend to be deaf dumb and blind as to how massively what Biden did to benefit Russia and Muslim oil countries that treat us like enemies. Putin decided he could afford to attack the Ukraine.
