MoMA Patron, Denied Entry, Stabs Two Employees

A man who was denied entry to the Museum of Modern Art because his membership had been revoked jumped over the reception desk and stabbed two employees on Saturday afternoon, the police said.

The police were still searching for the 60-year-old suspect hours after the incident, which began at about 4:15 p.m. The victims, who were stabbed in the neck and back areas, were in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital.

The letter revoking the suspect’s membership had gone out on Friday, but he appeared at the museum on Saturday, seeking to watch a film, said John Miller, the deputy commissioner for the Police Department’s Intelligence and Counterterrorism Bureaus.

His membership had “expired as a result of two incidents involving disorderly conduct here at the museum on two separate dates in recent days,” Mr. Miller said at a news conference outside the museum.

Police released a video Sunday morning that shows a  deranged man jumping over a desk and stabbing two workers at the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan a day earlier.

The 60-year-old suspected of the stabbings was still on the loose as of the video’s release. The NYPD identified him as Gary Cabana.

The NYPD on Sunday identified the crazed suspect still on the loose after stabbing two workers at the Museum of Modern Art Saturday — and released shocking video of the bloodshed.

Gary Cabana, 60, enraged that his membership to the iconic Midtown museum had been canceled, rushed through the W. 53rd St. movie theater entrance and jumped over the counter, police said.

He repeatedly stabbed a man and woman, both 24, working behind the desk as they scrambled for cover, the video shows. A man who appears to be a museum security guard ran frantically along the other side of the counter, pointing at the attacker and hurling objects at him. ...

MoMA stabbing suspect apprehended in Philadelphia

The suspect in last weekend’s stabbing at the Museum of Modern Art was apprehended in Philadelphia early Tuesday morning, according to the NYPD.

Gary Cabana, 60, had been on the lam since the incident on Saturday night. He was apprehended by Philadelphia police at about 1:36 a.m. and is awaiting extradition to New York for arrest and charges.

Although he remained at large, Cabana opened up to a Post reporter on Instagram on Sunday night.

“When they said I couldn’t go upstairs to see STARRY STARYY NIGHT EVER AGAIN I lost it.”

After losing his job in January, Cabana was also charged with a criminal harassment complaint after sending threatening emails to a woman at the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees office.

Authorities suspected Cabana may have fled to Philadelphia when a lookalike checked in to a Best Western Motel under the name “Joseph Cabana.” On his social media accounts, Cabana listed his middle name as “Joe.”

Philadelphia Police were also looking for Cabana after the Best Western guest started a fire in his room, causing the motel to be evacuated on Monday night.

The abutments for the bridge were originally designed to be steel. But they were changed to concrete because there were fears that escapees from the "hospital" would be able to climb up the steel latticework and get away (Ward's Island really WAS "an island" back then...)

Wow. Some serious delusion on the part of that TDS victim. He doesn't even have his 'rona facts right--it was the Democrats that used the virus to kill people and wreck the economy.
If anything, the 'rona cost Trump the election, because it hurt the economy that had been clicking along tickety-boo, and enabled widespread and critical vote fraud.
