Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) showed a five-point lead over Democrat Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke in a hypothetical head-to-head gubernatorial poll from Climate Nexus.

The poll found that 45 percent of the registered Texas voters surveyed said they would vote for Abbott, five percent more than would vote for the Democrat.

Early voting in Texas began on Feb. 14th.

In Harris County, 36,888 voters (voting by mail + in person) chose a democrat ballot.

At the same time, 41,987 voters chose a Republican ballot.
