The worst losses were concentrated in largely white areas across the Midwest: 21 rural counties in Michigan flipped from Obama in 2008 to Trump in 2020; Democrats lost 28 rural counties in Minnesota, 32 in Wisconsin and a whopping 45 in Iowa. At the same time, recent Republican voter registration gains in swing states such as Florida and North Carolina were fueled disproportionately by rural voters.
The states they are talking about used to be the blue-collar Dem areas that they have lost because of their woke policies. Now they're doing it to the burbs, Hispanics, and any other demographic that isn't black or LGBTQSNAFUBAR.
I see it here in Iowa. You don't live in Iowa for the big city amenities. Most live here to be left alone to work and live as they choose without the constant intrusion of govt. So what's been done under Obama and now Biden has completely crapped in the punch bowl and driven people to the conservative side.
