Morgan Stanley Criticized for Internship That is Only Available to Gay or Non-White Applicants

By Eric Lendrum
February 16, 2022

On Tuesday, an equal rights group publicly called on investment bank Morgan Stanley to shut down an internship program that explicitly describes itself as only open to non-White applicants.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, a letter was sent to Morgan Stanley by the Project on Fair Representation, warning that the bank’s internship violated federal non-discrimination laws. The 2022 Freshman Enhancement Program is described on Morgan Stanley’s website as only available to “black, Hispanic, Native American, and/or LGBTQ+ freshman undergraduate student[s ].” The internship has been promoted by several Ivy League schools, including Princeton University.

“Morgan Stanley and Princeton are leading institutions in our culture,” says the group’s letter. “What you do matters not only because it affects the individuals involved, but also because you set an influential example for others.”

“Pandering to activists with ‘diversity, equity, and inclusion’ initiatives like this internship program is actively harming and racializing our already divided country,” the letter continues.

There is the racism supposedly "pervading" America; but does anyone think the democrats' new boondoggle bill to "eradicate racism" will do anything but encourage these sorts of racist shenanigans?

  • Gender: Male
Morgan Stanley is in this case doing overtly what other large, "woke" corporations have been doing quietly for a long time: giving preference to "disadvantaged" or "underrepresented" groups, based upon gender, race and other such classifications.

Ask any older, experienced white male (like me): who winds up receiving all the promotions and internal job postings in corporate America these days?

Answer - mostly young women and especially, female ethnic minorities.  And the gayer, the better.
"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn
