The Clinton's tried this with Special Forces at Bragg back when they had the WH. They had a hand-picked leftie Captain they ORDERED the Special Warfare Center to take as a student,and when she failed to meet the physical standards (big shock there,huh?),the SWC flunked her out.
The Clinton's made sure she was recycled,admit accussations of sexual discrimination against the officers in charge,and had her run the course again.
She flunked again,and the SWC cadre refused to graduate her or let her attend another class.
The end result was a full Colonel,a Sergeant Major,and a Master Sergeant were forced into retirement over this.
The good news is,AFAIK,they haven't tried this again.
ANYBODY with 2 IQ points to rub together can look at photos of SF guys getting ready to go on a patrol and see they are so loaded down with equipment,explosives,ammunition,and weapons that there is not one woman in a thousand that could keep up with them.
It is also not addressing the FACT that anybody on a combat patrol is likely at some point to be required to pick up a wounded teammate,and run out of the danger zone with them so they can apply first aid to save their lives. Damn few women can pick up a 200 lb man and run with him,never mind a 200 lb man carrying over 100 lbs of weapons and equipment,in addition to the weapons and equipment SHE would be carrying.
And THAT is assuming you can find a woman willing to carry the load,plus get shot at while doing it.
Not that women lack courage or determination. They don't,and anybody that thinks they do is a fool. What they lack are the big bones and the big muscles,and most likely,a lot of the adrenaline that tends to run through these guys on a daily basis.
