Paris police ban French ‘Freedom Convoy’ demonstrations in city, threaten prison time if traffic blocked
Departures were reported or planned in about a dozen French cities

French police on Thursday banned demonstrations in Paris through the weekend in anticipation of a "Freedom Convoy" of anti-vaccine mandate protesters arriving in the capital city by Friday.

Inspired by the Freedom Convoy of Canadian truckers protesting Ottawa’s vaccine mandate, a group of about 200 protesters gathered in the southern French city of Nice Wednesday morning for a "Convoi de la Liberté" of their own. The protesters said they planned to converge on Paris before moving to Brussels, the headquarters of the European Union, to protest vaccine mandates.

Departures were also reported or planned in about a dozen other cities, with groups calling for them to converge on Paris on Friday evening and to protest there on Saturday.

The Paris Police Prefecture, which serves Paris and the surrounding suburbs, said it was prohibiting demonstrations through Monday because of "risks of trouble to the public order."

I can't recall, did they take such decisive action against their moslems...........or were they just all French about their rioting.

French Police Ready Armoured Cars, Heavy Moving Equipment Ahead of Anti-Lockdown ‘Freedom Convoy’ Protest

Police in Paris have deployed barricades, heavy equipment, and armoured vehicles as a Canada-style freedom convoy is set to descend on the city on Friday evening.

Earlier this week the prefecture of Paris warned that protesters in the anti-lockdown convoy heading to the French capital will be barred from entering. Those found to be blocking roads are facing up to two years in prison and heavy fines, as well as having their driving licences revoked, police have warned, in an unambiguous message to those who would dare protest against lockdowns.

Taking what appears to be a war-like footing, Parisian police have been filmed deploying armoured cars and setting up barricades in an apparent attempt to block the convoy from entering sections of the city, and even have taken to social media themselves to show off the equipment they have at their disposal to clear the streets. Again, the display of specialist trucks capable of towing large trucks, picking up cars, and clearing barricades appear an outright warning.

I may be wrong,but MY understanding is that the French Army is unionized,and if the Army Union votes to refuse to take part in stopping the trucks,there isn't a damn thing the French can do about it.

It is PURELY about our governments abusing their power because they are all pissed that WE,THE PEOPLE,are questioning THEIR authority to tell us what to do and to mandate we either do it or be punished by the legal system.
