A mother in Uzbekistan is being investigated for attempted murder after dropping her 3-year-old daughter into a zoo’s bear pit.

Heartbreaking footage shows the moment the child plunged into the pit 16 feet below, appearing to hit her head. The bear scuttles down to investigate what just landed in his home as patrons of the zoo gather to watch the horrifying scene.

Luckily, zoo workers were able to lure the bear, named Zuzu, away from the child and rescued her. She suffered a concussion as well as some cuts and scrapes, but the mother is facing some serious jail time, around 15 years, if she’s found guilty of attempting to murder her daughter.

You would thing that by the time the kid was 3, someone would have noticed "mommy" was not wired right.

But some folks are better at hiding their illness than others. Half the Capitol is full of 'em.

Chances are "mommy" was so aggressive and hostile that not even her own family wanted anything to do with her.

You WOULD think that someone/anyone that saw her acting out with the child would have contacted child services or the cops and reported her,but that doesn't seem to have happened.

Let this be a lesson to us all. If we see someone that seems to be unstable abusing a child in ANY way,we should call the cops.

If it was nothing,let the cops discover it was nothing. If it was something,let them discover that in time to save the child.

I really pray that the child can be placed with parents who are kind and loving and protective. My heart is breaking for this little girl.

It's Uzbekistan, I doubt the moslems there have a child services department and if they did the kid would probably end up in a home where some family member thought it just fine to have sex with a three year old. Also I would imagine that if the mother acted out all crazy and the like her family would have beaten her into submission. I believe, want to believe, that the mother was just mentally ill and not evil but moslems..........
