...hmmm good idea -- empty sour cream containers will now go into the tupperware cabinet.
Anybody remember saving jelly jars that had cartoon characters (if I recall they were Flinstones) on them for drinking glasses?
Some gas stations used to give away glasses or mugs too.
@libertybele Yes,in fact I do,but that was a "thing" that didn't last very long for two reasons.
Reason 1: The damn glasses were too big for shot glasses, and too small for anything else, unless it was as a milk glass for a pre-teen child
Reason 2: And this one is the biggie. Moms from blue-collar or no-collar familes tend to try to shop thrifty if possible, and those tiny little glasses of Jelly cost too much. MUCH cheaper to buy a bigger jar with a screw-off top.
AFATG,there is nothing says you can't drink liquids, especially powerful clear liquids, from a jar with a screw-off lid,and best of all,if for some odd reason you get sleepy or clumsy, the screw off lid prevents you from losing a valuable liquid if you happen to knock it over or drop it. Don't ask me how I know this.
