This is why I never give advice. Even if they do the opposite of what you said, when it all goes wrong and they get into trouble, they will blame you anyway.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists.

Years ago, my brother broke up with a girlfriend. She had a child and they had lived together for over a year as a couple. My brother had bonded with child and wanted to maintain contact with her after the break up. His ex-girlfriend would allow no contact. He asked me what to do.

I explained to him that because of his live-in status over significant time and his bond with the child, he may have some legal right to continued contact for his sake and the sake of the child, if the child agrees. Told him to contact an attorney and let the lawyers sort it out.

Instead of contacting a lawyer, he wrote some kind of threatening letter to the GF demanding access to the child in a threatening way, claiming it was his "right!". He almost got himself arrested. When I asked him, "Why did you do that?!" He said, I just did what you told me to do. So in his mind, it was all my fault.

What!? No! I told you to get a lawyer. "I don't have money for a lawyer, so I just did what you said by myself."

That was the last time I have given anyone advice about anything. People are stupid. Many are too stupid to comprehend what I am saying to them.

    I told my Friend (with Benefits) to quit drinking that cheap Vodka years ago, she was diagnosed with Liver Cancer last November and not being David Crosby, she is $hit for a transplant (for good reasons) anyway to make a short story long, she had the audacity to tell me that she had taken my advice and got off the McCormick and had switched to Titos, last year.

Cheap liquor is not cheap. Instead of paying with money, you pay with crazy horrible hangovers and other health problems.

@Kamaji

That is a smart man. The money it saves him in frustration alone is worth what the roll cage cost,never mind the cost of stray live stock hit by passing cars.

@240B

I guess I lived my life right,or maybe wrong,depending on your POV,because NOBODY ever asked me for advise on anything.

Sure had a lot of fun,though.

@corbe

Ok,I am semi-certain that MAY have made a difference.

Maybe.

PROBABLY would have been better to just quit drinking alcohol,but what do I know?  I drank like a fish for maybe 30 years,and then one day I managed to sober up,and got a wild hair across my ass and decided to quit drinking.

That was in the early 80's,and I still have the half-fifth of Jim Beam I was drinking out of when I quit. I keep it in the refrigerator so it is cold if anyone comes to visit that wants a drink,but it seems like all my old friends just disappeared when I quit drinking.

Well,the few that remained quit coming around once I told them they could no longer use my house as a way stop on their way back from town when they were too drunk to drive,and that I was tired of them putting their muddy boots on my couch and puking on my couch.

Seems like the remaining few quit me because I "got airs".

I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer,but I DO know when I am being used and abused.

@Kamaji

And all of those 7 minutes will be commercials.

Most of us here are fortunate enough to remember when America had a healthy sense of humor.

Of all the things we have lost,that may be the most important one.

Not to mention direly needed these days.

Nice article about Mel Brooks and among others, Blazing Saddles.

I showed it to a group of early twenties friends about 25 years ago, and they were mortified.
The jokes were lost in their reactions to 'trigger' words they had been conditioned to have knee jerk reactions to, and the satire was the first casualty.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
