No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

I know a guy who got a DUI on a horse.

The argument that the horse was sober, knew the way home, and would not step out in front of traffic didn't fly with the judge.

@Smokin Joe

I have a friend that got one while riding his bicycle after losing his license for DUI.

He happened to be drinking a beer when the cop spotted him,and explained to the cop that he HAD to drink that one beer to open a slot on the plastic  pack holder so he could hang the other  5 from his handlebar.

You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists.

Yeah, I know a guy who got one on a bicycle, too. He wasn't drinking at the time, but got hit by a car. (The car failed to yield), but he got the ticket... :shrug:

One more reason I'm glad I quit while I was ahead...

@Smokin Joe

I honestly can't think of one single downside to my quitting drinking and doing drugs. Haven't regretted it at all,and am one of the lucky ones that has never missed it or had a craving to go back to doing it.

And it has nothing whatsoever to do with willpower,religious beliefs,or anything other that pure dumb luck.

If any of you are ever giving a choice by a Genie to be blessed with intelligence or good luck,take good luck. Trust me on this one.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
