ABC announces the comeback of the flu after ‘taking a year off’
December 29, 2021 | Robert Jonathan

The doomsday cult that some critics insist represents the corporate media, a contingent which is currently fixated on the COVID-19 Omicron variant narrative, is putting out the word that the flu is staging a comeback after it supposedly went on hiatus for a year.

Earlier this year, some experts were even warning of a so-called twindemic, that is, constituting the simultaneous spread of both COVID and the flu.

Individuals can obviously draw their own conclusions about the existing health scenario at year-end 2021. COVID-related precautions and mitigation measures are what purportedly caused the flu to decide to take the year off, which rendered it practically nonexistent.

Skeptics might conclude, however, that the premise is perhaps evocative of the country-and-western song from back in the day with the title how can I miss you when you won’t go away.

“The U.S. flu season has arrived on schedule after taking a year off…Last year’s flu season was the lowest on record, likely because COVID-19 measures — school closures, distancing, masks and canceled travel – prevented the spread of influenza, or because the coronavirus somehow pushed aside other viruses,” ABC7 Eyewitness News Los Angeles reported, for example, about what it described as the “unusually light” 2020 flu season.

The news outlet also noted that “flu hospitalizations [are] rising.”
