Yes I was, but University oh Houston has 2 Nobel winning professors, and is now a Tier 1 school.
That puts them on the level of other states schools, that have that distinction (Rice is a private school).
U of H, Texas, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech are all now considered Tier 1.

When my big city liberal almost (dodged that bullet) father-in-law professor found out I was from a small town, to make conversation with an obvious rube he started asking me questions about farming of which my knowledge is close to zero . I had to inform him that none of the people who lived in my medium-sized midwestern city were farmers.

(however, I did spend a week on a farm when I was 12. The work was way too hard...not that what I did amounted to much help for the real farmer)

The problem Bette doesn't realize is that many, if not most, of the Trump voters in WV in 2020 were Democrats.
