A timing miscalculation led to Maud falling into her canopy and becoming twisted into her parachute’s straps. She then pulls her reserve chute as she continues to plummet to the ground, but it too failed to open.
Maud then had to put all her hopes in her last reserve chute opening as it was the only thing stopping her from thudding to her death. Luckily, it opened and, after initially becoming entangled in the mess of ropes and straps, Maud managed to even herself out in the skies over Ölüdeniz, Turkey.
