The biggest problem with idiot politicians is they have never moral compass,or the first clue about "where" they want to go.

First,they will surrender to a pack of insane goat humpers,and then they will over-react,and want to nuke Russia or China to prove they are "manly and decisive".

There is NO greater danger to world peace than a weasel politician that goes wherever the wind blows him.

Could Putin be trying to build a more reliable land bridge from Russia to Kaliningrad?  Kaliningrad is a Russian enclave on the Baltic that is currently separated from Russia by several other countries.  It's port is ice-free year round, so that may be an important consideration.

The last thing I remember is that, muslims were taking over Crimea, and that it belonged to RUSSIA in the first place.  That is why Putin took it back.
