Correct me if I am wrong, but I always thought that the Federal Reserve was NOT part of the government ... therefore, what right do they have to do this, other than they're going to do it because no one is going to stop them?

We have a Constitution. It was quite obvious that Bammy made it known, that it is one thing to have a Constitution and it is quite another for the rule of law to be followed; especially when you have a DOJ that does absolutely nothing but allow the trampling of rights.
