Law enforcement officials escort Jose Francisco Paz-Ruiz. Authorities said he is a member of the Cartel Del Noreste.
A member of the Cartel Del Noreste was arrested as he tried to flee into Nuevo Laredo, Mexico via the Rio Grande, according to the U.S. Border Patrol.
Early Tuesday, U.S. Border Patrol agents received information regarding a man fitting the description of Jose Francisco Paz-Ruiz, a migrant with multiple outstanding warrants from various agencies. Reports indicated that Paz-Ruiz was seen outside a residence in Laredo.
Paz-Ruiz was then seen getting inside a black Chevrolet pickup before driving away.
