White House to ‘Disillusioned’ Leftist Democrats: Join Joe Biden Agenda or Get ‘Nothing’Charlie Spiering 26 Oct 2021
The White House on Tuesday warned leftist Democrats that they needed to support President Joe Biden’s reduced spending priorities or end up with nothing.
The president continues reducing the price tag of his agenda and also the number of entitlements in his proposed “Build Back Better” bill, leading Congressional leftists to signal disappointment with Biden.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki reminded leftists during the daily press briefing of the importance of supporting Biden’s agenda anyway.
“They all would have a huge impact on people’s lives across the country, so do you want to be a part of that?” she asked. “Or do you want to be a part of nothing? Because those are the alternatives.”
Psaki said Biden and Democrats were “on the verge” of getting the president’s agenda through Congress and warned Democrats from making “perfect the enemy of the historic.”
