Manchin on party switch: 'It's bull----'
By Alexander Bolton - 10/20/21 02:28 PM EDT

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) on Wednesday dismissed a report that he is actively thinking about dropping out of the Democratic Party as "bullshit" and “rumors."

"It's bullshit," Manchin, a centrist, said bluntly after he was asked about a report published in Mother Jones that he has told “associates” he is actively thinking about leaving the Democratic Party.

“I have no control of rumors, guys. No control of rumors,” Manchin insisted after walking out of a lunch meeting with fellow Democratic committee chairmen just off the Senate floor.

His statement waved off reporting by the media outlet that he would leave the Democratic Party if President Biden and his colleagues stick with a plan to pass a $3.5 trillion human reconciliation package. The report also claimed that he told associates he is considering a two-step plan for exiting the party.

Step one, according to the report, is that he would send a letter to Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) informing him of his plan to drop off Schumer’s leadership team.

Of course it's BS! Manchin is a backstabbing two faced lying hypocritical DCP disciple.

While it might be fun in the short term to consider having him switch parties, he would end up being a thorn in the side long term because he would inevitably tend to vote mostly with the Democraps.
