This is a follow-up to the original explanation of the epicenter of the supply chain backlog issue, ie “The Clog“. {GO DEEP}   You need to review the years-long and building background issue to understand the fubar that Joe Biden has just made worse.

From the White House perspective, the problem at the California ports, specifically the Port of Los Angeles (POLA) and the Port of Long Beach (POLB), was visible due to hundreds of container ships sitting in a queue off the coast of Los Angeles awaiting their opportunity to offload their cargo.  The media was reporting on the backlog of ships and Joe Biden was under fire.

The team behind Joe Biden wanted the optics removed asap.  Hence, the White House meeting with the heads of the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, Gene Seroka and Mario Cordero, respectively.

Time for one, two or three of the red states (Texas? Florida? Alabama? Mississippi?) to build completely NEW ports "from scratch", designed for container handling from the waterline up.

Dredge an entirely new deepwater port if need be.

It's foolhardy for the red states to continue to rely on blue states like California, Oregon, New York and Washington to handle this business. Just as the Chinese could "cut off" the United States now if they wanted to, when the red/blue "split" comes, I wouldn't expect the blue/communist states to remain friendly towards the red/traditional freedom states...

Everything Joes handles is a catastrophe, and he digs in hard to force the calamities upon this Country and people.  Is Joe so stupid that he can screw the Country down to meticulous details, like elections, commerce,education, war zones, hostages,in every endeavor he engages in,etc?  Or is Joe going to such extremes because so many people are sitting on the side lines letting Joes destroy the nation from within, because they believe ignorance and denial of what Joes is doing to the Country is some perverse and twisted great genius?  The amoral denial game is getting tougher and tougher game to play,when even democrats are now jumping ship!  Odd, they don't want to be seen as THIS STUPID!

This reminds me of the scene in Schindler's List where the Polish Jewish engineer explained to the German workers that their structure was doomed to collapse.  After pointing out the correct way to lay the foundation, the officer shoots her, and then tells the construction workers to do it like she said.

The only difference with today's regime is that in the end, the Germans actually cared that the construction wouldn't fail, while the current coup could care less.

That is a good idea except for two things
1) there are very few people that know how to make things anymore.
2) Where are you going to get the labor to do it. I guess they can put all the illegal aliens to work. Unless you can make it on an Xbox the younger generation wants nothing to do with it.

If I want to escape from everyday life, that is NOT the way I would do it.

Some dispatcher needs to divert the trucks that supply the stores our rogue employees shop at to more plebeian outlets for the goods.

Well, your average 12 Y/O could probably handle supply ordering better than a school bureaucrat.  Of course because of the systems put in place thru unions and contract with providers the schools probably can't look for goods outside the contracted company's to use alternative sources.  Thinking outside the box and problem solving is forbotten
