Turley Drops Hammer on What Should Be Done Regarding New Info on Hunter and Joe Biden
By Nick Arama | Oct 15, 2021 4:45 PM ET

We’ve done a lot of reporting on Hunter Biden’s emails from his abandoned laptop.

But one of the things that made our latest story about the emails damaging for Joe Biden was the point that he and Hunter had at least one commingled bank account. Thus anything that Hunter was involved in could potentially drag in Joe, and Hunter’s finances are currently being investigated by the FBI.

On top of that, Joe Biden had claimed that he knew nothing about his son’s business. But his son’s business partner was intimately involved in the handling of various aspects of Joe’s finances — everything from doing his taxes to paying his mortgage. Why? Plus Hunter was paying some of Joe’s bills and vice versa. Again, why? With that and the commingled accounts, it means that contrary to what Joe said, he may have been benefiting from Hunter’s business actions because of that.

Now, George Washington University Law professor Jonathan Turley is pointing to that commingling of funds, noting how it contradicts Joe Biden’s repeated claims that he was unaware and uninvolved in past dealings by his son. Then Turley drops the hammer as to what he thinks should be happening now.

Given these links, there are legitimate questions of why the Justice Department has not sought a special counsel in the ongoing investigation of alleged money-laundering and tax violations linked to the president’s son. More importantly, even if there are no criminal charges, there is now a compelling need for an independent report on the alleged influence peddling operation by Hunter, his uncle James Biden, and potentially his father, President Biden. [….]

Most notable are the new emails from Eric Schwerin, his business partner at the Rosemont Seneca consultancy, referencing the payment of household bills for both Joe Biden and Hunter Biden. He also notes that he was transferring money from Joe Biden. If true, the communications indicate that some of President Biden’s personal expenses were paid out of shared accounts with Hunter, including accounts that may have been used to pay for prostitutes. Rosemont Seneca is directly involved in the alleged influence peddling schemes and questionable money transfers from Chinese and Russian sources. [….]

Even if one questions a direct conflict of interest, it is hard to deny the towering appearance of a conflict in the ongoing investigation.

“The Big Guy” is now president and his administration is handling an investigation that could have political as well as legal implications for him and his family. It may be time for a special counsel.
