I have to admit I am shocked so many of you are ST fans.
I don't know a single person in "flesh life" that was a fan. I tried watching it when it first came on,but stopped after maybe 3 episodes because besides the cheesy dialogue and horrible acting,it bored the snot out of me.
Then again,I was expecting something along the line of "The Twilight Zone",and was too young to realize just how special it and Rod Sterling really were.
STILL waiting for someone to match him.
@sneakypete I was too little to really recall watching ST when it was first run, but I got into it first from the animated version on Saturday mornings, then in the 70s, it went to reruns and I was hooked.
I had a SF course in college and the professor showed “City on the edge of forever” in class. And by thAt time the first two ST movies were out as well.
Watched Picard as it came out, got a mini crush in Riker.
And so on.
The only person I know who is a fan in real life is my almost brother in law. He’s going to be a granddad for the first time next March, so I sent him a ST onesie for the baby.
Discovered TZ about ten years ago when I got a subscription to Netflix. Loved it. William Shatner looked so young when he’s seeing a monster outside the plane
