Panama warns of looming Haitian migrant wave, tens of thousands on the way

In a new interview with Axios, Foreign Minister Erika Mouynes said that since the beginning of 2021 more than 85,000 Haitians have crossed through Panama and that she believes "they all are heading toward the U.S."

Panama’s Foreign Minister Erika Mouynes appeared to berate President Joe Biden’s administration as unprepared and claimed that tens of thousands of Haitian migrants are looming and could be making their way to the United States.

Mouynes spoke to Axios, during an interview, and said she had been sending warnings for months. Over 85,000 Haitians have already traveled through Panama this year, according to Axios,  and a new rush of approximately 60,000 Haitian migrants is currently believed to be making the trek to the U.S.

In addition, there is a reported 25,000- 30,000 migrants looming in Colombia since Panama cannot accommodate them.

Breitbart Texas met with high-level officials who revealed there are serious concerns in Mexico City about the large number of migrants in country with more inbound. The sources estimate 40,000 Haitians have some sort of permit to travel, apart from those entering in a clandestine fashion.
