I don't know why they uploaded it free, but I took advantage in case they did it by mistake. Excellent documentary.

Edit: The actual video ends at about 1:35, so it's about half an hour shorter than the time stamps indicate.

To the mods: I posted this here because I felt like it would get more views. Feel free to move it if it breaks forum rules. Thanks.

@DB, I agree. It was excellent. I may have paid to watch it when it first came out had I known it would be that good.

Moving to the Education category, since that's where most of our "campus craziness" stories go.

@Mod2

I have such difficulty locating threads, especially if they don't get much traffic. Sometimes I can catch some interesting ones in the most recent posts list at the bottom of the home page. Otherwise, I'm flying blind. Is there any way to bookmark something? Having that ability would be so helpful.

From its first days, the bedrock of culture/society was the Family Unit as well as Man's Teacher.
This endured for hundreds of millennia, fostering an impetus for self-learning and the habit of
absorbing the ideas of ones colleagues.
The classic example is Socrates being the tutor of Plato who was the tutor of Aristotle.
A millennia later the Philosophers of Scholasticism adopted kindred learning behaviors.
Yet we moderns, who assert we are the greatest, ignore the past and have created a structured
system that has little to do w/learning and everything to do w/promoting assorted propaganda.
Arguably, this reality is at the core of our deadly decay and the reason we have forgotten the
wisdom of the past.
