4) The Afghan government & military are not blameless here. But the US & NATO imposed a government and military on them that made them reliant on Western support. When the support was ripped away, the system collapsed. But this didn't occur over 11 days.

5) Additionally, the "Afghanistan collapsed in 11 days" mantra shields @POTUS, @StateDept & @DeptofDefense from criticism of getting Americans and Afghan allies out in a timely and orderly fashion. There were months to resolve these issues, not 11 days.

Gen McKenzie, CENTCOM Commander, confirmed my assertion that withdrawing our air power support for Afghan military, removing our mechanics from Afghan AF, & removing our logisticians precipitated the rapid collapse of Afghan military. 

We pulled the rug out from Afghan forces.
