DHS suspends horse patrols but ramps up Haiti repatriation flights

The Biden administration said that it has temporarily suspended the use of horse patrols in Del Rio, Texas as it works to ramp up controversial repatriation flights of Haitians camped under a bridge near the border.

“We have ceased the use of the horse patrol in Del Rio temporarily,” a DHS official said on a call with reporters.

But even as DHS paused horse patrols amid an investigation into officers seen dispersing migrants on horseback, it is rapidly processing what was an estimated 14,000 Haitians camped on the Texas side of the border.

“As of this morning, we were at around 4,050 individuals under the bridge so we have really made tremendous progress over the last 72 hours in drawing down the population under the bridge,” a DHS official said.

That population dip comes as the U.S. is expected to expel a large number of those Haitians under Title 42, which allows the U.S. to remove migrants without giving them the chance to seek asylum.

Yeah, so even the photographer who took the pics that Dems and the media are sharing of the Border Patrol agents on horseback says "he and his colleagues never saw agents whipping anyone."

"It can be misconstrued when you’re looking at the picture.”

The real embarrassment is that so few Americans know what they are looking at there (and it isn't someone being whipped with a rein--not when the rider is using their hand to grab a t-shirt) and believe the irresponsible nonsense being spewed to vilify the Border Patrol agents, from POTUS on down.

I don't know how many Americans are buying the media narrative. For all we know everyone but the typical 30% dead enders know exactly what happened with this PB agent, his horse and the Haitian.

And probably even they know & won't admit it.

All the media need are a photo and a story to go with it and action is taken. They don't need public approbation.

Those aren't "repatriation flights." The planes would be landing in Haiti if they were, but they're landing elsewhere in the US.
