Biden resurrects suspect story about kudos from Amtrak conductor

Samuel Chamberlain   |   September 22, 2021   |   12:40am

President Biden used his one-on-one meeting with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Tuesday to reprise a story about an Amtrak conductor who supposedly congratulated him for traveling 2 million miles on the rail service — despite having died before the event purportedly took place.

After Biden noted that Johnson had traveled from New York to Washington, DC, on Amtrak for their White House meeting, he proclaimed to Johnson and the assembled media, “I got to tell you a quick story that has nothing to do with anything.”

The president began by recalling that when he was vice president, “the Secret Service didn’t like me traveling on Amtrak because there were too many options for people to cause trouble along the way. But I insisted I do it.”  .  .  .

Being grossly overly generous, let's say over his political career, Joe Biden 'worked' 200 days (or 40 weeks) a year.  That comes to 1,760 work weeks over his political career.  Now do the math:

2 million miles / 1,760 weeks = 1,136 miles.  So every single work week of Joe Biden's career, he wants us to believe he rode over 1,100 miles on an Amtrak train?

Knowing how Amtrak operates, let's consider a one-way route from Baltimore to Miami.  The total duration of that trip is 25-29 hrs.  This means at best, Joe Biden would have spent 25 hours on an Amtrak train every week of his working career for 48 years, which would exceed the number of hours of actual work he performed during that span.

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?
