Ya think? Public health officials have absolutely beclowned themselves with the singular fixation on vaccines at the expense of treatment or acknowledgment of natural immunity. Never forget that.

A clip of CDC Director Rochelle Walensky was making the rounds on Friday and it’s quite telling.

In it, she admits that the “experts” might have been a bit too optimistic on the efficacy of the vaccines and off-handedly said that she remembers where she was when she saw “the CNN feed” that said that the vaccine was 95% effective. She then tries to dismiss the singular focus on vaccines by saying, “nobody said ‘waning’ when the vaccine is going to work” subtly admitting that the “experts” viewed the vaccine as a traditional one that is effective at preventing illness and transmission.  .  .  .

The only thing the 'experts' were looking at was the growth of their pharmaceutical stock portfolios.  I find it odd that a vaccine was developed and approved within a year of the H1N1 outbreak.  Yet it has been almost 2½ years since SARS-2 hit the scene, and no one has even made an attempt at creating a vaccine against the virus.

My grandson's school district decided to end the mask requirement two weeks ago...but that won't actually go into effect till after this Friday! Such asininity, and this in a still conservative area.

A senior writer at The New York Times said vaccinations, booster shots and masks have not caused a major difference in case rates between parts of the country with different levels of COVID-19 precautions in a Wednesday morning newsletter.

The article compared COVID-19 case rates for Democratic and Republican areas, noting that Democrats were more likely to wear masks, get vaccinated and boosted, avoid public spaces and shut down in-person schools over virus fears.

“These factors seem as if they should have caused large differences in case rates. They have not. And that they haven’t offers some clarity about the relative effectiveness of different Covid interventions,” David Leonhardt wrote in the NYT newsletter.  .  .
