Seems to ME to just be another excuse to hire more govenment workers,who will in turn support anything the government does in order to not only keep their jobs,but to be promoted as new employees are hired to work under them.

I am reminded of a remark I once heard from an Australian constitutional scholar: the thing about Bills of Rights is, when you can get them enacted, you don't need them [and therefore it's hard to convince people to vote for them], but when you need them, you can't get them enacted.

This morning on MSDNC, a NY Times reporter was saying in regard to masks that "the science may be obsolete". Never mind the fact that it never was science to begin with.
