CODE RED: Time's Up, Joe

Lance Corporal Jared Schmitz’s body was resting in a flagged-draped coffin. Each coffin, identical to the next coffin. Each coffin contained the remains of the 13 dead American soldiers. They were slowly removed from the back of a C-17 and moved to ground transportation. Families were in attendance. So was Joe Biden.
Fathers and mothers, sisters, brothers, wives – all watched as each coffin was moved. Jared’s dad, Mark Schmitz watched as Joe Biden placed his right hand over his heart – then inexplicably, as each coffin was loaded in a hearse, President Biden seemed to check his watch. “After the fourth time…considering why we were there, I couldn’t watch,” said Mr. Schimtz.
Darin Hoover, the father of Staff Sgt. Hoover, saw it, too. Mark Schmitz couldn’t watch, his emotions and rage taking control; Mr. Hoover couldn’t avert his eyes. Mr. Hoover said: “That didn’t happen just once, it happened for every last one – all thirteen.”
The White House claims Mr. Biden was looking at a rosary on his left wrist. According to the White House, he wears that in honor of his son Beau. I’m not buying it. If that is the case, he (or his handlers) should have recognized the terrible optics that would evince. If he’s going to make that emotional connection, why turn his wrist so his $10,000 Rolex watch is facing up? Why wear a watch at all? If “honoring” Beau was the motivation for turning his watch face up for each coffin, and stare at his sleeve, what does Beau have to do with 13 dead heroes?
