By the standards set by the democrats themselves how is this not impeachable?

Biden told Ghani to say that the fight against the Taliban was going well "whether it is true or not."

The Afghan President responded, "Mr. President, we are facing a full-scale invasion..."

No US military dogs were left behind in Afghanistan, DOD says

While animal rescue groups across the globe race to get dogs out of Afghanistan, Pentagon officials want to be very clear: The U.S. military did not leave any of its working dogs behind.

Viral photos purporting to show dogs locked in cages at Hamid Karzai International Airport have raised the hackles of U.S. lawmakers and dog lovers alike. But the photos are not of military working dogs, as the American Humane Society and others have suggested.

“To correct erroneous reports, the U.S. military did not leave any dogs in cages at Hamid Karzai International Airport, to include the reported ‘military working dogs.’ Photos circulating online were animals under the care of the Kabul Small Animal Rescue,” Kirby told Defense One.

Kabul Small Animal Rescue is a veterinary clinic and animal rescue organization that has operated for years in Afghanistan. “Currently we are working to help anyone who wants to evacuate their animals do so,” the group wrote on their Facebook page.

“None were left behind,” a spokesperson told Defense One.

Still, various charities and programs have said they were working against the clock to evacuate “military working dogs.” Many of the organizations have shared the same photo that DoD has confirmed does not depict military working dogs.

While efforts continue to get hundreds of pets and shelter animals out of Afghanistan, the U.S.’s military working dogs are at least not among them.

Vice President Kamala Harris presided over a rare session of the Senate on Tuesday to approve aid to thousands of American citizens who fled Afghanistan amid the end of the U.S. military involvement in the country.

Harris provided a needed second vote as Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.) represented majority Democrats who pushed the measure forward even though the Senate is in recess.

The bill would amend the Social Security Act to allow for increased temporary assistance to Americans returning from foreign countries like Afghanistan.

Harris gaveled the empty Senate into session, called for unanimous consent to pass the measure, then quickly returned the body to recess.

Her presence was needed because Cardin is the only senator available during the pre-Labor Day recess.

Generous Americans ‘clogging’ military mail network with donations for Afghan evacuees at Al Udeid

Americans have been so generous with donations — from diapers to toilet paper — for the Afghan evacuees being temporarily housed at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar that the volume of it has created problems getting mail to that APO and other addresses.

If officials aren’t able to “stem the flow” of these mailings, the Military Postal Service “may be forced to instruct [U.S. Postal Service] to suspend the offending ZIP Codes because it is clogging the network and impacting other ZIP Codes,” stated an email from the Military Postal Service obtained by and posted on the unofficial Air Force amn/nco/snco public Facebook page.

Efforts have already begun to stem that flow, as an Air Force master sergeant posted late Aug. 30 that Al Udeid has received all the necessary donations, and they don’t require anything further. Officials have requested that the donations be held, or sent to other locations such as Ramstein Air Base, or some of the relocation areas at individual bases, she said. “Please share as appropriate to try to shut down the donations headed to Qatar.”

Before Aug. 1, the average daily volume of mail going to Al Udeid was about 4,850 pounds. By the end of August, it rose to a daily peak of 19,841pounds, Fontaine said. The cost to the government is about four times higher than the same time period last year.

According to the email detailed on the Air Force amn/nco/snco Facebook page, on a day in late August, there was 77,000 pounds of mail at the Chicago International Military Service Center destined for the ZIP Code APO AE 09309. That volume of mail will cost the Air Force $192,500. If the installation is overseas, the cost of getting the mail from the U.S. to that installation is borne by the service.
