The only reason the evacuation was so large was because the number of people left behind was so large.  If the withdrawal was handled well, there would have been very few people needing evacuation.

A few weeks ago, Biden said a Taliban takeover was “highly unlikely” & his Secretary of State said our embassy would remain open w/ robust diplomatic presence.
