The evacuation operation continues in Kabul, Afghanistan. Yesterday, August 24th, ~19,000 more personnel were evacuated, bringing the totals to ~82,300 since the operation began on August 14th, and ~87,900 since the end of July. #HKIA

You have to wonder if that reporter is genuinely THAT freaking stoopid,or if it is an act.

Several dozen "somebodies" WILL get left behind in an operation that big. Some will be left behind because they don't want to leave for various personal reasons,some will be left behind because they are in hiding and won't get the word or will be afraid to risk the public exposure,and some will get left behind because they get a garbled version of what they are supposed to do and where they are supposed to go.

And some will probably be left behind purely because someone doesn't like them.

Like plans,people aren't perfect.

“Less than 20” people were rescued by helicopter last night and brought to the airport. Kirby would not say whether they were Americans, but said the helicopters picked the passengers up somewhere within Kabul.
