A crowd numbering in the high hundreds have gathered in the Oklahoma State Capitol in Oklahoma City, where they are rallying in opposition of COVID-19 vaccine passports, face mask mandates, and lockdowns.

The crowd, numbering in the thousands, began gathering earlier today in a line reminiscent of Trump rallies. “A long line of people waited to get into the Oklahoma state capitol today for the #OklahomaFreedomRally, a demonstration against forced Covid vaccined and mask mandates,” wrote The Election Wizard on Twitter.

That may explain all the sky-is-falling COVID hyperbole coming out of Oklahoma, then.

All the hospitals in Oklahoma are crammed full.  Most of our ERs are holding many critical patients, because the ICU and medical floors are packed. Patients are often being evaluated on a stretcher in the hallway, after waiting several hours to be seen.
We have been requested to fly several patients out of state, because there are no ICU beds available.
We have witnessed EMS crews with bed delays of two hours (which means that crew is unable to be out in the community for emergency calls).
Please be patient with our medical professionals…we are doing our very best to try and keep up with a huge tidal wave of extremely ill patients.

The number of COVID-19 cases in Bartlesville continues to soar, reaching its highest level since the beginning of the year.

"We are seeing a huge surge of hospitalized COVID-positive patients at Ascension St. John Jane Phillips," said Mike McBride, Ascension St. John regional president and Chief Operating Officer.

"The number of COVID-positive patients in our hospital now exceeds 50% of our total patient count and more than 50% of our critical care beds."

In fact, several Jane Phillips patients have died from COVID-19 in just the past week.

"We are at record high (hospitalization) levels that exceed what we experienced back in January, which had been the previous high," McBride said. ...

How much of the latest "the hospitals are packed" hysteria is really due to the latest bug going around, "respiratory syncytial virus" (RSV). Some have noted that children might be better prepared to fight off this virus had they not been locked up with masks on for the past year or more.
