In retrospect, those sent to Auschwitz-Birkenau were the lucky ones.  Those sent to Treblinka, Sobibor, Majdanek, Belzec, and Chelmno didn't make it out alive.  That's why you don't hear any stories about those camps.  Off the train, and straight into the gas chamber.
