More misleading BS from the CDC:

CDC Study: COVID Shot Protects Better Against Delta Variant Than Natural Immunity

Charles Kim    |   Friday, 06 August 2021 04:56 PM

A study released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Friday finds that the three COVID-19 vaccines may provide better protection against the virus, including the highly contagious delta variant, than natural immunity of those previously infected.

''If you have had COVID-19 before, please still get vaccinated,'' CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said Friday. ''This study shows you are twice as likely to get infected again if you are unvaccinated. Getting the vaccine is the best way to protect yourself and others around you, especially as the more contagious delta variant spreads around the country.''  .  .  .

First, one must consider the test group here.  It is made up entirely of Kentucky residents who contracted Covid before Jan 1.  Group 1 consists of people who tested positive for either the virus OR the antibodies in May or June of this year.  Group 2 consists of people who did not test positive for one of the two tests.  The flaw here is that everyone in both groups should have tested positive for the antibody test.  So it is clear that Group 2 consisted exclusively of people who were tested for the virus and not antibodies, while Group 1 consisted of a mix of both.

The term 'vaccinated' is defined as someone who has been 'fully vaccinated' as indicated in their Commonwealth database.  A person who has received only one of the two mRNA vaccines or a person who received both, but did not supply personal information to the Commonwealth is considered to be 'unvaccinated' in this study.

Group 1: Total 246 patients
-------------------------------

Vaccinated     - 50 (20.3%)
Not vaccinated - 196

Group 2: Total 492 patients
-------------------------------

Vaccinated     - 169 (34.3%)
Not vaccinated - 323

The CDC's argument here is that since there is a higher portion of vaccinated people in Group 2 than in Group 1, that proves that individuals who have survived infection are less likely to be re-infected if they also get the vaccine as an enhancement to their natural immune system.  But such a comparison cannot be made since an antigen test does not prove re-infection.  I could get a measles antigen test today that would come back positive, but that would not prove that I contracted measles in the last 2 months.

Another flaw here is that Group 1 is grossly overrepresented in proportion to the general population.  It equivalates to a re-infection rate of 33%, meaning that fully one-third of all 2020 Covid survivors were re-infected within a two month period in 2021.

The CDC is trying to persuade those who have already survived the disease and have their own natural immunity to take the two jabs anyway.  Yet you are dealing with a portion of the population that has by far the lowest fatality risk than any other demographic other than healthy individuals under 18.

Why doesn't the CDC just come out and tell the truth instead of pumping out BS like this for the last 20 months?
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."
