Meanwhile here comes Black Rock to the rescue to take those properties off of the hands of the landlord.    Then one day we'll wake up and find out that all rental properties are controlled by one conglomerate,   and odds are, it will be based out of Beijing.

Nope. By a corporate board most likely located in NYC.

No way are the greedy bastards trying to steal this country going to turn the spoils over to the freaking Chinese. They are just using the Chinese as a tool to destroy our system of government so THEY can take control.

The ultimate goal is to have the entire world control by corporate boards. China will almost certainly control all of Asia, including Japan,Australia, and New Zealand.

Canada,Mexico, and America will most likely be consolidated and known as something like "The North American Economic Zone".

All,of course, will be monitored and controlled by "World Wide Government,Inc",most likely located in Zurich or some other European banking center, and that board will get a "taste" of every deal and every dollar made anywhere in the world.

China will obviously have a seat on this board.

The international bankers ain't playing. They have been dreaming of controlling all the commerce in the world and getting "their taste" ever since the first bank was created, and now they are going for it.

Late July/August in DC is no picnic, either. The heat and humidity can be oppressive (if you are not used to it).

One August I came out of the Metro station next to the Washington Monument and decided to snap a picture.  My lens fogged up instantly.

That's right. You know, my business is near mortally ruined, but I ain't got it half as bad as folks that invested in real estate as landlords who have not collected a dime in over a year - and still had to make payments and pay taxes and do upkeep on those properties... Can you imagine the hole that made?

I would be suing the hell out of the federal government over that.  The Executive Branch violated the Constitution when they unilaterally put these abatements in place without Legislative approval.  And the government is compelled to compensate those affected by their edicts, with or without Legislative approval.

Amendment V

No person shall .  .  . be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

Yeah.
The problem with going after megacorps and governments is that both have unlimited money and unlimited lawyers. That ain't likely to end well.

I would imagine the multi-TRILLION dollar 'Infrastructure' funds were going to cover the losses for the landlords and the mortgagors.

Comrade citizens, get with it.
There will soon be no more private property.
Soon-to-be former landlords have no claim on overdue rent.
The proletariat, under the direction of The Party, is the only entity to which "rent" will be paid!

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

The elimination of the Middle Class is necessary for the classic overthrow by the proletariat, with the real dirty dog elites sidestepping the "Revolution" and retaining power over all the useless idiots and fellow travelers who will put them (violently, if necessary) into power.
COVID has been a useful device, as have the riots on a smaller scale. But they aren't done yet, by any measure.

@Fishrrman

And there it is.

Those of us who own our property and homes outright will see them taxed to the point we lose them for back taxes.
