Rather than hold political leadership accountable, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki blamed the U.S. military for the Afghanistan stalemate, during a Thursday press conference. Psaki said, “We’re not going to have a ‘mission accomplished’ moment in this regard. It’s a 20-year war that has not been won militarily.”

As the White House faces pressure to follow through with the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan set in motion by former President Donald Trump, Psaki said the Biden administration “will continue to press for a political outcome and a political solution.” Psaki holds the military at fault for the situation in Afghanistan, but hopes politicians will craft a “solution.”

I had seen the Psaki name several times,and had to click on this link to see who it is.

No surprise about what she says. She is the WH Press Creature,and part of her job is to act the fool to take attention away from the actual fool in the WH.

Of course,there IS the positility she actually believes the brain farts she issues. After all,she IS a Dim.

She's now in the "cee you next tuesday" category as far as this veteran is concerned.  The military "works for" civilian authority, takes orders from civilian authority, conducts operations per civilian authority.  EFF her.

However, I see another side to that as well.  What that comment could set in motion is a "purge" of legitimately competent military commanders now deemed incompetent due to her claim.

We lost sight of what the true purpose in Afghanistan was years ago and went into "nation building" mode, which would never work in a tribal land.

A key point, as overall strategy is determined by Civil Authorities.

I think you are right, in that the Military will be further weakened by the removal of competent command to favor those who are politically aligned with the social experiments we saw under Obama.

It should be a requirement under US law for ANY military "think tank" to have a US Army Special Forces E-8 or E-9 occupying a prominent place at the table.

You want the real "skinny",you need to ask someone that knows.
