Seven Russian Warships Are Doing Something Weird Near Hawaii

Meanwhile, the U.S. is gearing up for a missile test. Hmm.

A Russian Navy flotilla of seven warships is cruising off the coast of Honolulu, Hawaii.

The visit appears to coincide with an imminent missile defense test.

The trip is raising eyebrows as the Russian Navy rarely sorties this far east.

A large Russian Navy task force, including the flagship of Moscow’s Pacific Fleet, is cruising pretty far from home: just south of Hawaii. The U.S. government, meanwhile, appears to be preparing for a major missile defense test. It sure seems like the two incidents are related.

I remember a Russian "fishing" fleet operating off San Fransicko which was "fishing" for intelligence.  We were going out to sea and the carrier I was on went through it at 43 knots which left the "fishing" fleet fishing for places to hold on the wake was so large. :th_10444:
