Former president Donald Trump ramped up his rhetoric against Joe Biden's policies, saying his successor's aim is to erase US borders and "flood the country with so many illegal aliens that every community is overwhelmed."

"Joe Biden is the first American president who doesn't want America to be a nation at all," Trump said in a scorching statement issued on Wednesday. He added, "Our country is being destroyed before our very eyes."

The remarks came one day after the Biden administration formally ended the Trump-era "Remain in Mexico" program, which forced asylum seekers arriving at the southern US border to stay in Mexico while waiting for their cases to be adjudicated in immigration court. Trump credited the initiative, also called Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), as "one of the most successful border security programs anyone has ever put into effect anywhere."

Perhaps Trump is morphing into an Adult by discussing a developing national catastrophe
rather than a Toddler wailing about himself.
It so, his remarks on the Mexican Border fandango are most welcome as a mortal threat
to our national sovereignty.
Additionally, this level of conversation, elevates his stature by refocusing plain people
on him as a serious person having ideas that are in the best interests of our nation.
He has done himself much good by speaking out in this manner and tone!

Skeeter, reality is that during his Presidency Trump predictably played w/the msm rather than played Statesman.
Had he done the latter, my bet is he would now be in the WH.
Hopefully this is a sea change for Trump and for the better, as Biden is a dangerous embarrassment.

I dunno. We haven't faired so well with the party's 'statesmen' in the past.

On Biden we are in complete accord. The illegal immigration fiasco is the ONE problem, among the many he's generating, from which there will be no recovery.

Fair enough and your Statesmen remark resonates.
This is why I continually mention the likes of Jefferson, Madison and Monroe,
to remind some (not you) of the quality of Leaders we once had.

The border has been in a 'crisis' for a  very long time.   Yes, under the Trump presidency, great strides were made towards border security but those have obviously been undone by Biden and the crisis accelerated.

We still have many members of Congress on both sides of the aisle that are doing absolutely nothing.

The obvious has always been  -- more illegals granted amnesty with voting rights = DEM votes.  That hasn't changed.  What has changed is that this election, provided that there is one, will be the DEMS dream come true.  Mathematically, it will be impossible for the GOP to be seated again once amnesty and citizenship are granted.

The GOP sat around playing tiddly winks when they held the majority in ALL Houses and did nothing to alleviate the border crisis, build a wall, or prevent amnesty....so it's not just Biden who is to blame.
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

A gross understatement, for sure.
Consider the critical relevance of history, traveling back some 400 years.
In 1648 the Thirty Years War ended by the Vatican promoting the Treaty of Westphalia.
Its most critical impact was in promoting the concept of Sovereign Right; whereby only
the rightful citizens of the nation/state having clearly defined borders, are the only ones
who decide who can/cannot enter their nation/state.
In our time, this has been long forgotten as our sanctimonious political assholery insists
they are the deciders and the results are plain to see.

This why I  continually mention the likes of Jefferson, Madison and Monroe,
to remind some (not you) of the quality of Leaders we once had.

From Wiki: At the age of nine, Jefferson began studying Latin, Greek, and French; he learned to ride horses, and began to appreciate the study of nature. He studied under the Reverend James Maury from 1758 to 1760 near Gordonsville, Virginia. While boarding with Maury's family, he studied history, science and the classics.

In 1760 Jefferson entered The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg at the age of 16; he studied there for two years. At William & Mary, he enrolled in the philosophy school and studied mathematics, metaphysics, and philosophy under Professor William Small, who introduced Jefferson to the writings of the British Empiricists, including John Locke, Francis Bacon, and Isaac Newton. He also perfected his French, carried his Greek grammar book wherever he went, practiced the violin, and read Tacitus and Homer. Jefferson displayed an avid curiosity in all fields and, according to the family tradition, frequently studied fifteen hours a day.

Not exactly sure when the human race stopped evolving. Even less certain when we started back in the other direction. But that we have - just check out any Lil' Kim video.
